Teach them well and let them lead the way. Little Bit is all about cultivating our future generations. This includes having a succession plan for who will carry the torch and continue our mission in the years ahead. This fall, Little Bit launched a High School Ambassadors program at three schools with the objective of growing community awareness of Little Bit while offering students the chance to develop their leadership skills. Two students from each school – St. Mary’s High School in South City, Cardinal Ritter Prep in Midtown and Webster High School – lead efforts in their schools and communities to spread awareness and generate support of our work and meet monthly to share their experiences. Already, the students have held a “Miracle Minute” fund drive at Webster, which raised $1,000 for Little Bit; organized a coat drive at Cardinal Ritter and designed a special t-shirt that will be sold at St. Mary’s. Additionally, the Ambassadors have asked other students in their schools to create original artwork to auction at Little Bit’s Music Trivia event on March 3, 2017.
“I’ve never felt so passionate, empowered and compelled to help those around me with all levels of need,” says Emma Austion, HS Ambassador.
