Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund continues it’s support of Little Bit and Bryan Hill Elementary
The Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund recently bestowed a grant of $20,000 to The Little Bit Foundation. Little Bit was one of 13 organizations that were chosen to receive a grant from 126 applicants. Several years ago a generous grant from SOS enabled Little Bit to take on a new school, Bryan Hill Elementary. This new grant will continue to support Little Bit’s work at Bryan Hill. “100% of he 200 students at Bryan Hill qualify for the federal subsidized food program, which means they are at or below the poverty line,” says Rose Hanley, Co-Founder of Little Bit. “This generous gift will help us continue to provide our high level of services to the children of Bryan Hill.”
The Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund was created to increase the participation and leadership of women in philanthropy in the St. Louis area. The power of many women giving together has a significant impact. By pooling their funds, they are able to respond to community-wide needs with substantial focused grants.
