The Little Bit Foundation Awarded Grant
from Ronald McDonald House Charities
ST. LOUIS, January 16, 2008 - The Little Bit Foundation (TLBF) received $15,000 from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis, Inc. to support one of its efforts of providing coats to disadvantaged school children in St. Louis.
Recognizing that regular attendance and preparedness are important to educational success, the award will help TLBF collect and distribute new coats to St. Louis students in need. TLBF currently assists 11 inner city schools with approximately 2,700 students.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis provides a "home-away-from-home" for families of seriously ill children, and support to organizations that serve the needs of children. The award received by TLBF was part of the more than $130, 000 granted to local organizations in the fourth quarter of 2007.
"It is wonderful to be able to recognize the outstanding work The Little Bit Foundation is doing to really make a difference in the lives of these beautiful children," said Colleen Schoendienst, owner and operator of a local McDonald's and member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities grant committee.
Rosemary Hanley, Co-founder of the TLBF is thrilled to receive the support of Ronald McDonald House Charities. "We are so grateful for the funding, which will give us the opportunity to provide coats for students to keep warm while going to and from school."
The Little Bit Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization presently serving approximately 2,700 students in several inner city schools.
