Little Bit’s on the Move!

We are so excited to announce that The Little Bit Foundation has moved into new donated space at Color Art Inc.!  Color Art is located at 1325 North Warson in Olivette.

Coat-A-KidThe move to this bigger and more efficient warehouse took place over the summer and we are equally excited to be sharing this new space with Coat-A-Kid.  We have been working closely with Coat-A-Kid for the past two years to provide new coats to children in Little Bit Schools.  Next year, Coat-A-Kid will supply 100% of our coat needs.  Last year, Coat-A-Kid provided 1300 coats to both Little Bit schools and other area schools.  This year they anticipate that they will distribute 2100 coats.

Spirit of St. Louis WOmen's Fund

Missouri College Business Club students Lawanda Johnson, Fre Wright, Reasha Lambert and Joaquina Smith along with faculty sponsor Kathleen Young recently spent a day volunteering at the Little Bit Foundation's new
warehouse location at Color Art Integrated Interiors.

The new space allows Little Bit to have all of our clothing inventory in one place and be able to work in close proximity with Coat-A-Kid, who was also outgrowing their storage space.  “The opportunity to move to Color Art with Little Bit couldn’t have come at a better time,” says Betsy Beckman, founder of Coat-A-Kid.  “We are enjoying a much closer collaboration with Little Bit and look forward to providing more warm coats to children in need.”

The new space also allows Little Bit to be able to accommodate individuals and groups to come in to assemble backpacks, help with inventory and other volunteer opportunities for organizations and corporations.

“Color Art is thrilled to be a small, small part of the great work that Little Bit does. If what we do contributes in any way to the kids who are in need and benefit from the great services Little Bit provides, that is very gratifying to us,” says Gary Mindel, President of Color Art.

Little Bit continues to have a presence at our original donated space at CBC High School.  Our book programs inventory and hygiene storage remain there and we are so grateful for the continued support from CBC, it’s staff and students.
