Little Bit and Foodbank Fighting Hunger with Special Deliveries

For our families with limited or no access to fresh food options, Little Bit has teamed up with St. Louis Area Foodbank to provide mobile food markets. Beginning as a pilot program at two of our partner schools, Herzog Elementary in the Baden neighborhood, and Hodgen Elementary on the city’s south side, the mobile food markets will visit the schools once a month with fresh produce, dairy and bakery items that families can take home, free of charge. The food is made up of fresh items in abundance at the Foodbank’s Bridgeton facility or that are close to expiration.

St. Louis Area Foodbank has been feeding area families struggling with hunger for more than 40 years, and we are so excited to bring fresh, healthy food solutions to our students and families with their help! To find out how you can get involved in upcoming mobile food markets, please contact Volunteer Manager Lucy England at lucy@thelittlebitfoundation.org
