The Little Bit Foundation is blessed to be served by over 100 passionate volunteers who support our efforts every week.  Volunteers pick up and sort donations, and fill orders in the warehouse. They visit the schools each week to see that every child is fitted.  Beyond that, there is an incredible network of people and organizations who conduct drives for new schools supplies, books and hygiene items. There are teams of shoppers who purchase clothing and dedicated people who make scarves and hats.

Without the support of our volunteers, there would be no Little Bit and thousands of children would not receive the basic services and caring compassion that they need and deserve.

Linda Strickland: A Quick Report

The tri-team of Debby [Bolhafner], Tammy [Imppichiche] and Linda [Strickland] had a very productive morning at Patrick Henry School. We had close to forty orders and took at least 7 more for kids who were missed on the first day. There are many needy children at Patrick Henry. One Mom, living in a shelter with her two boys, was able to get new shoes for both. We measured both for emergency clothing from the boutique. Some of the kids we were fitting had shoes that were at least 2 sizes too small. Three kids were wearing shoes that were 3 sizes too small. The faculty liaison was shocked! Many children were not wearing socks; they were even excited to get a new pair of clean socks. One girl asked if she could wear her socks and shoes tomorrow too. She beamed with pride when she found out that these new tennis shoes were hers to keep.

Kay has many stories to share about her experiences with the children she has met in both of the schools she visits.  But the theme that Kay will stress in her experiences is that of need vs. want. One story involves twin girls who are about seven years old.  One of the girls receives a beautiful soft, pink and fuzzy coat. Read Volunteer's Story >
