The Little Bit Foundation currently works with 13 St. Louis schools, positively impacting the lives of approximately 3,000 children.

The school staff identifies each child’s specific needs and completes an order form, which is filled at the Little Bit Warehouse. Orders contain practical information such as the child’s name, grade, teacher and clothing size, as well as the specific new items they need and personal notes to help volunteers make a connection with the child. Volunteers in the warehouse, who also travel to the schools, can then fill the orders with the specific child in mind.

Two trained volunteers per school act as representatives of The Little Bit Foundation. In order to maintain a consistent, personal partnership with the school, these reps visit each week to pick up orders from The Little Bit Warehouse and deliver them to the schools.

The “Little Bit” That Makes Us Different: The students are called down to The Little Bit Boutique, where the rep looks each child in the eye, has a conversation with him/her and then assesses the order to make sure all new items fit and are appropriate for the child’s needs. The rep will then follow up with the child on an ongoing basis. Out of respect for each child, it is important that his/her order be filled promptly and correctly, according to the child’s specific needs.
